Today was most probably the most exciting day of the create process. I just couldn't wait till I was done. Like all Ferrari's have to be painted so did I to my rack as per my design specs. I was quite confused on what colors should I paint my rack wid but with the help of my client; my mum she gave me a lot of idea from which I chose from. I painted my rack light green for all the compartments, brown for the pillars, light brown for the bottom of each compartment and dark green for the barriers. I had to cover the floor with newspapers so that it wouldn't get dirty. It was very fun painting and quite easy at the same time. I used water colors to paint my rack and more or less a lot of paint was used. I left my rack to dry in the sun, when I was done and checked on it 1/2 an hour later. My rack looked very attractive and eye catching although I painted my rack again since the white spaces could still be seen and did a double-coating so the paint and colors stand out more and then left it to dry again. After it had dried, approximately 1 hour after I started varnishing my fruit/vegetable rack using clear varnish. I used a big brush for this so that it would take faster. My dad varnished a little part of the rack to explain about how to varnish. This took about 10-15 minutes and then I left it to dry for 3 hours. At first, after varnishing I thought my rack now looked dull and disgusting but after it had dried my rack was shining and standing out. The rack was sparkling with the colors I painted earlier with. When I compared the pictures of how the rack was before and now there was a big change. It was a very joyful moment of the create stage where I became really ecstatic.A moment later I realized that I still had to keep wheels but my dad couldn't find any plastic wheel in town, where as I grew really tensed since plastic wheels were part of my design specs. Soon after, a spectacular idea flicked in my mind. I rushed to my room and removed my Lego that I used to play with when I was small and luckily I found plastic Lego wheels that I could use for my rack. I took super glue and stuck the wheels to the bottom of each pillar in my rack using superglue. I was really stressed and anxious for the wheels to dry.... and moments after I slowly moved my rack with the Lego wheels and guess what? It was a success!!! My rack was portable! Before I could start partying, I immediately went to my room and brought the stickers of fruits that I had asked my dad to bring earlier. I pasted the stickers on my rack. I just can't explain how beautiful my rack looked. It was so nice. I was excited to show my rack to my friends and was really really happy. I took some photos of my rack when done and showed it to my friends via whats-app and comments from all over flew out; "Its so nice" some said "This is a straight 6/6", "how did you apply the varnish so nice?" and some people also said "How much did you pay the carpenter". This was how good my rack was. I was really proud of my work.
